Egypt: Ultras White Knights Slam Police Brutality
Zamalek Toolbar

This weekend, Zamalek played El-Shorta (a Police Union team) in the Egyptian Premier League. During the match, Ultras White Knights (Zamalek Ultras) held up banners slamming police on their actions during the Egyptian revolution. Egyptian Ultras are seen as playing a key role in the Egyptian uprising.

Here is a translation of the banners in the first video (keep in mind it is hard to get exact translations):

Top banner: “We lived our life with them (Police) as symbol of corruption, and during times of need they left the entire country.”

Bottom banner: “Thanks to the Ultras. We call them (the police) bastards!”

During the display, fans were chanting “We haven’t forgot Tahrir and can teach you another lesson if needed”
